2013 Wedding Trend Predictions

Another year has flown by & the 2013 event season will soon be upon us. At the beginning of 2012 we offered up some trends we thought we’d see throughout the last year which you can check out here. We saw a lot of those through out the 2012 wedding season! But the real question is; where will 2013 take us?

We’ve put together our top predictions for the 2013 wedding season & trends we imagine you’ll be seeing whether you’re planning your very own big day or sipping cocktails as a +1.

2013 Wedding Trend Predictions

LaceWish LanternsMonograms — Gatsby

Lace is going to be huge this year. It’s so sweet & delicate and we can’t wait to see our brides sporting these gorgeous gowns down the aisle!

Sparklers are last season. Wish Lanterns are making a huge appearance on the wedding scene. They make for a wonderful reception activity and/or reception exit. Not to mention they make for gorgeous send-off photos.

Monograms are such a sweet touch to add to any wedding. You can add your monogram to your veil, your petticoat (yes – they still exist!) or on your cocktail napkins. It’s a great way to start using that new last name!

The Gatsby movie got pushed back to summer 2013 but the trend is already making its way into weddings. Whether it’s trendy fringe dresses on your bridesmaids or a sweet 1920’s inspired veil – adding the Gatsby touch to your wedding is going to have your guests saying ‘va va voom!’. You can see the Gatsby wedding we did here!

  1. We are incorporating monograms! I wish we could do the wish lanterns, but our ceremony & reception are indoors. I am really looking forward to seeing all the Gatsby influenced weddings though – that style is just gorgeous!!!
