Life Lessons For Dad’s With Daughters
It’s almost Father’s Day. We know how important a role Dad plays on the big day. Last year we shared some of our favorite Father + Daughter dance songs. This year, we came across Life To Her Years which shares 50 Life Lessons for Dad’s to bestow on their daughters. We nabbed our favorite ones to share with you. We feel like this perfectly sums up what Sunday is all about. You can read the entire list here.
2. Always be there. Quality time doesn’t happen without quantity time. Hang out together for no other reason than just to be in each other’s presence. Be genuinely interested in the things that interest her. She needs her dad to be involved in her life at every stage. Don’t just sit idly by while she adds years to her life… add life to her years.
6. Buy her a glove and teach her to throw a baseball. Make her proud to throw like a girl… a girl with a wicked slider.
7. She will fight with her mother. Choose sides wisely.
12. It’s never too early to start teaching her about money. She will still probably suck you dry as a teenager… and on her wedding day.

15. Dance with her. Start when she’s a little girl or even when she’s a baby. Don’t wait until her wedding day.
18. Tell her she’s beautiful. Say it over and over again. Someday an animated movie or “beauty” magazine will try to convince her otherwise.

39. Holding her upside down by the legs while she giggles and screams uncontrollably is great for your biceps. WARNING: She has no concept of muscle fatigue.

Congraduation!
It’s graduation season again (they grow up so fast!). The class of 2013 will be walking across the stage & moving on to the next chapter in life. Graduate school, high school, college, conquerors of kindergarden, we congratulate you all!
Aside from figuring out what gifts to give, what should you wear to all these celebrations? Itty Bitty has a few looks to keep you feeling & (most importantly) looking cool in the summer heat. Take a peek at these outfit ideas for the graduation ceremony & after party. Whether you’re sitting in the crowd cheering on a family member or making an appearance while the party is in full swing, you’ll be sure to look fabulous.
Tips:
-At the Ceremony: Always have a travel tissue pack on hand, you never know who or when the waterworks will hit.
-At the After Party: Disposable cameras are a great novelty. Pass it around! Let it leave your sight for a bit & see what develops.
You’ve seen our positively purdy Prom fashions, now take a gander at our Grad wear. Carson is looking classy in her cap & gown. She’s shared her high school graduation photo (in the white gown) & is showing her Appalachian State pride when she graduated from college. Memorial Day: Bring Out The BBQ!
Memorial Day is just around the corner, and if you had a childhood like ours, it is basically the kick-off event to summer. Time to banish all those spring time sweaters and break out the flip-flops, sundresses and fire up the grill.
We love getting together with our LA friends right in our very own backyard and grilling up a tasty meal, followed by our favorite after dinner sweets! We’ve rounded up a few patriotic pieces that would be a delightful addition to any Memorial Day get together.
